Ottawa State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area, north of Salina, offers one cabin that will accommodate up to six guests. Whether a spring fishing destination, a fall hunting adventure, or a summer family reunion, this deluxe cabin is open year round. The 111-acre lake is a short walk and the 560-acre wildlife area provides hunting and wildlife viewing opportunities. The cabin is partially handicapped-accessible, has air conditioning/heat, and is available year-round. It has one full bathroom and one bedroom with a queen-size bed. In the living area, there is a futon and a single murphy bed and set of bunk beds. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and filters, toaster, and is stocked with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. Outside amenities include a covered porch and a patio complete with a gas grill, picnic table, and fire ring. The lake offers excellent fishing opportunities with two boat ramps, several fishing piers, and maintained shorelines for easy access to the lake. Boating on the lake is for fishing only. The area around the lake provides hiking, wildlife viewing, primitive camping, and a group shelter. Vehicle permits are not required at Ottawa State Fishing Lake. You must be 18 or older to rent a cabin or campsite. A non-refundable reservation fee is charged for each transaction. Reservations must be made at least 3 days prior to arrival. No tent, trailer, or RV camping is allowed at the cabin site. All dishes should be clean and put away. All trash must be taken with you when departing. Staff will inspect the cabin after you leave and additional charges may be applied for cleaning, missing items, or damages. No pets or smoking are allowed in the cabins. The office is not open daily.
